Broil King Pellet Grill – Regal 400

A pellet grill is a great way of cooking for many, it’s simple and easy to control the temperatures, here I take a first look at the Broil King Pellet Grill – Regal 400 model.

Broil King Regal 400 Pellet Grill

First impressions when building it is it’s a solid beast, it’s well built and nicely designed, sturdy and reassuring. Having cooked on it with a range of meats, I’ve been very impressed.

One thing I’ve struggled with on some pellet grills is the searing of steaks, but that hasn’t been an issue with this grill. Getting lovely sear lines even on thinner steaks with the heavy duty cast iron grates.

I’ve had nice results with brisket, giving a nice solid smoke, good smoke flavour and nice and juicy.

Overall, I’ve been really impressed with this grill, it’s been a pleasure to cook on this pellet smoker and this Broil King BBQ is a new option when working out which is the best pellet grill 2020.

  1. Great recipe thanks for share.David Brown famous for delicious smoker recipes, expert cooking methods, cooking tips, and tricks as well as for his cooking recipes.

  2. Have you had an issues with the temperature control on this.

I’m have an issue with the internal temp inside/on the grill being between 80 and 100 degrees/F lower then the reading shown on the display.
The app is also rubbish and very slow/fiddly.

Currently on my 2nd one and same issue with both. It’s a shame as this is a very solid unit and other functions with it work ok.
